Services:

Puppy Play Groups: For pups up to 5 months old.  Every Saturday morning at 10:00 - 11:00.  just bring your puppy's current vaccination record.  This supervised play group is drop-in style and is $5.00 per session.

Puppy Kindergarten Class:  6-week puppy socialization and beginning obedience class.  Your pup will play with other pups and also will learn to pay attention, sit, down, walk nicely on leash, and come when called.  Common puppy problems and problem prevention is also addressed.  This is a fun class for puppies and humans.  Class size is limited to 8 puppies.

Basic Obedience Class: 6-week fun basic class for beginners of any age.  Basic commands such as sit, down, stay, leave it, drop it, walk nicely on leash and come when called are covered.  Create a loving bond with your dog while also establishing your leadership.  Class is limited to 8 dogs.  Personalized attention to each dog is priority.

Canine Good Citizen Class and Test: This 6-week class prepares your dog and you to earn an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen title.  The program consists of 5 weeks of training, ending with the CGC test in week 6.  

About Gentle Persuasions Dog Training LLC

Chris has been an active volunteer at local dog shelters since 2003.  She was an honors graduate of Animal Behavior College in 2004, when she established the Gentle Persuasions Dog Training business.   For several years Gentle Persuasions offered in-home training and behavior consultations.  In 2008 Chris expanded the business to include puppy classes as well as basic obedience classes in Danbury and New Milford, CT.

 Chris is a professional member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), and in 2007 achieved the status of Certified Pet Dog Trainer.  This certification requires that she actively participate in continuing education to constantly update her knowledge and skills.

Chris is now happy to be a part of "Unleashed! Doggie Daycare" in New Milford and will continue her training classes at the Unleashed! facility.  Unleashed! Doggie Daycare is located at 90 Danbury Road, New Milford, CT (behind Advance Auto).
